PS Muoria said that the equipment is of high technology and that with the incorporation of advanced technologies into training facilities such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented  Reality (AR), will help TVET trainees to gain cutting-edge skills that are highly demanded in the global labour market, which will help them to compete favorably in the labour market.

The equipment will be supplied in the following departments of the various TVET institutions; mechanical technology, electrical and electronic technology, agricultural machinery technology, mechatronics technology, agricultural value addition technology, civil and building technology, welding and fabrication technology, hospitality management technology, automotive technology and refrigeration and air conditioning technology.

Dr Muoria lauded the Government for its continued efforts, to support the TVET sector adding that currently, there are 240 TVET institutions in Kenya and that each Constituency in the country, boasts of a TVET institution.

She called on the youth to join TVET institutions, saying that TVET CDACC has been able to break down different training programmes into a skill-set that allows one to gain skills for a short time for the individual to start earning. Dr Muoria noted that with the Kenya Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (KCATS), the youth will be able to move seamlessly in their quest to gain skills in TVET institutions.
