Council of Governors Chairperson Anne Waiguru has dismissed the planned Limuru 111 meeting terming it as Untimely, adding that they cannot solve any of the region’s issues.
Waiguru who is also the Kirinyaga Governor reiterated the region was solidly behind President William Ruto, adding that the region’s ‘interest were at his heart’
Without Mentioning names, she said the organisers of the meeting were known election losers and had no development agenda for the Region.
Waiguru said the meeting was planned by political self-seekers and that it will not have any impact on the needs of the people in the region.
She spoke at Mwea Constituency during the land handing over for the upcoming Kimbimbi town modern market, and relief food distribution to families affected by floods in area.
” The elections were over, and those who lost in the contest were now trying to take the country back to elections mood, When the Mountain region residents want the delivery of Services. ” She Said.
The Governor said that when time comes, the region will convene a meeting to deliberate and chart on way forward, but said the planned limuru meeting was premature ,3 years to elections.
She said the Governors in the region had already submitted proposals on the increase of resources in the region.
