Bandari FC has reappointed Ken Odhiambo as their head coach for the upcoming 2024/2025 season, which happens to be a significant move to enhance their squad. Tony Kibwana, the team’s CEO, announced the appointment of Odhiambo, who has previously led Bandari FC for two seasons.
“We are pleased to announce that Ken Odhiambo will be our Head Coach next season. We believe he is capable of winning titles and providing us with the opportunity to compete in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) tournaments,” said Kibwana.
Odhiambo, who also serves as the Assistant Coach for Harambee Stars, will be assisted by John Baraza, the demoted Bandari Coach. However, Kibwana confirmed that Baraza, who does not possess the CAF, a license required to coach top-flight football teams, will now take on the role of Assistant Coach. While Odhiambo will be the head coach, assisted by Baraza, with Jeremy Onyango continuing as the Goalkeeper Coach,” stated Kibwana.
Expressing his excitement about his return, Odhiambo praised the young and hardworking talent within Bandari FC and expressed optimism about the team’s future.
“I am impressed with the young players and the talent at Bandari. I see great potential with this team and together, we can achieve significant success. If the players, management, and technical bench work together, we can win trophies and put the team name on the map of Africa,” he said.
The club’s management is confident that this leadership team will effectively harness the talent within the squad and lead Bandari FC to greater heights in Kenyan football.
