COG pleads with striking doctors

The Council of Governors is pleading with the striking medical practioners to resume duty and ease the suffering the patients are going through.

The council health committee chairman and Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki asked the doctors to consider their stand on the ongoing strike that has devastating effects.

Speaking in Chogoria where he presided over a funds drive for the construction of PCEA Kairuni Kithituni church, Muthomi said the 13 days strike has impacted negatively on Kenyans, the doctors are supposed  to treat.

” The doctors should come to the table for discussions and hope it will yield fruits,’ said the health committee chairman.
