Death
Governor Kenneth Lusaka has lost his mother, Lay Canon Rhoda Namaemba, to an illness, leaving Bungoma County under a dark cloud. In a statement to the press, Lusaka said her mother was an icon and a great pillar in the family since the passing on of his father way back in 1995.
“She has maintained a strong faith in the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK).).” He said He stated that she will be remembered for her significant contributions as an educator and a dedicated synod member in the ACK church.
According to the deputy governor Jennifer Mbatiany said that the death was a shock to her. She sent her heartfelt condolences to Governor Lusaka and family following the passing of their beloved mother, celebrating the deceased as a hardworking and strict disciplinarian who positively impacted so many lives as a resourceful teacher.
The Speaker of the Bungoma County Assembly of Emmanuel Situma extended his heartfelt condolences to Governor Lusaka and his family during this time of great loss. “As a County we pray that God grants them the strength and comfort to endure this painful moment.” He noted
Situma noted mama Lusaka was a beacon of strength, not only to her family but to the entire community. Meanwhile, the Speaker embodied the virtues of hard work, dedication, love, and compassion. The speaker emphasized her unwavering faith and leadership within the Anglican Church, which enabled her to guide her family and positively impact the broader community.
Situma noted that she played a significant role in offering counsel and guidance to the leadership of our county whenever needed. Lastly, “As the County Assembly fraternity and the country we stand in solidarity with our Governor and his family as we mourn the loss of our dear mother.” He noted
