CS lands moves to bail out public lands from grabbers in Kitale

Lands CS Alice Wahome  when she toured the controversial Kitale GK Prison land under the control of the private developers. The Prisons  department seeks to recover the land  for use.

The government has moved to recover public land in the hands of private developers, in a move led by Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome.

The land meant for Kitale G.K  Prison has been at the centre of the controversy after it was fraudulently acquired by the private developers, despite its being utilized  for the intended purpose of benefiting Kenyans.

 Wahome moved to  Trans Nzoia County to start the process to recover the land, following President William Ruto directives on the aforesaid piece of land.

” Am here to streamline  the matter and solve injustices as the ministry of lands undertakes a final momentous fact finding mission with relevant stakeholders that will see to it that justice is served,” said the CS.

Wahome was accompanied by Lands Principal Secretary Nixon Korir,  PS Correctional Services Dr. Salome Muhia, Commissioner General Prisons Brigadier (RTD) John Warioba,  among other stakeholders.
