Destruction after the finance bill demonstration 

Destruction was witnessed across the country as the youth opposed to the finance bill 2024/2024 went on rampage. Across the country there was a trail of destruction as the protestors lit bonfires, torched sections of parliament, county assemblies in Laikipia and Machakos.

Businesses suffered as the traders closed down fearing looting in their premises.

In the afternoon hello broke lose, as Nairobi and Embu governors offices burnt, while the Embu UDA office was not spared.

There was destruction of three supermarkets owned by Kieni MP Njoroge Wainaina in Nyeri and Nanyuki towns where goods worth millions of shillings were looted.

There were running battles in Nyeri, Nanyuki and Murang’a as the youth battled with the police.

In Murang’a town, the protesting youth damaged and burnt a monument built by the county government of Murang’a.
