Dola Super Cup Enters Knockout Stage

The group stage phase of the competitive Mombasa edition of the Dola Super Cup has finally ended, marking a significant milestone in the tournament. In the last match, the Kisauni 2 team hammered the Jomvu 2 team one nil.

Only eight of the twelve teams that participated have progressed to the quarterfinals. The teams are Likoni 1, Likoni 2, Kisauni 2, Mvita 1, Kisauni 1, Nyali 2, Mvita 2 and Jomvu 1.

These teams are the top two from each of the four groups. They are set to compete in the quarter finals starting today to be played for four consecutive days, each featuring one game per day.

The quarter-final phase promises even more excitement and competition as the remaining teams battle it for a place in the semifinals. The winners will then advance to the finals, where the champion will represent Mombasa County in the Coastal Region Dola Super Cup.

Today’s first quarter-final match will feature Likoni 2 facing off against Mvita 2 at Serani Sports Ground. The winner of this match will advance to the semi-final to meet the winners of Wednesday’s game between Kisauni 2 and Nyali 2 which is set to be played at Bilima Ground.

On Thursday, Mvita one will play against Jomvu one at RG Ngala. The winner of this match will move on to the semi-finals to meet the winner of the Friday game between Kisauni 1 and Likoni 1, which will be played at Mwahima Stadium.
