Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua

Floods:

The government has established an Emergency Multi Agency Response to Floods, in the wake of deaths and destruction caused by floods in several parts of the country.

The Response agency was formed after President William Ruto chaired a forum that will respond to calls of distress from the residents while in trouble.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua addressing the nation, said the agency command centre will be at the Office of the President.

” We urge Kenyans to exercise caution and take responsibility and shun daring nature,” said the deputy president.

He further detailed that daily flood alerts will be issued to assist in the passing of necessary information to the residents.
