Gachagua hits at NIS for failure to provide the information on Finance Bill

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua hit at the National Intelligence Service (NIS) saying it failed to pass the right information pertaining to the Finance Bill 2024/2025.

The NIS slept on the job saying it has been dysfunctional following infighting in the department.

He said the NIS Director General Nordin Hajji lacks the capacity to handle the intelligence gathering unit, thus exposing the country to shame. Nordin, he said, should take responsibility for failing to advice President William Ruto appropriately.

“The President deserves a competent Director General of intelligence who can analyze the situation and provide the right information,” said the deputy president.

He disclosed that NIS was targeting parliamentarians who voted against the Finance Bil as he revealed son to AG Justin Muturi was abducted in a commando way and detained for 18 hours.

“Let’s manage politics in a better way instead of using the criminal justice system to manage our politics. The MPs who voted against the Finance Bill are being targeted by the NIS,” said Gachagua.

Nordin, he said, on Tuesday tried to put a team together to attribute lies to the chaos and mayhem that rocked the country to him and the retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.  The NIS do not take the country back to the dark days of the Nyayo era where they created schemes and propaganda against leaders.
