Gachagua Leading Mourners in Burial of NIA Board Director

Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua is currently leading thousands of mourners in burial of late Mwalimu Julius Kano Ndumbi at Gichugu in Kirinyaga County.

Ndumbi was the principal to deputy president at Kianyaga High School where the late served between 1978 to 1988. He headed notable schools among them Chuka High School, Kangaru School-Embu, Muranga High School, and Kiarithia-ini High School in Mathira

Gachagua in last visit to Kianyaga High School describe Ndumbi as disciplinarian who moulded him to in right direction. On May 26, 2023 the government appointed Mwalimu Ndumbi to the Board of National Irrigation Authority (NIA) as a director, a position he was serving in up to his demise.

Ndumbi passed on  May 13, 2024 at Consalata Mathari Mission Hospital-Nyeri- where he was rushed after he suddenly fell ill.
