Governor Barasa congratulates Oparanya following his appointment to the CS Position

Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa has sent a congratulatory message to Wycliffe Oparanya following his appointment to the Cabinet Secretary position. Governor Barasa also applauded President William Ruto for settling on Oparanya as the Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) development.

He said the former Kakamega Governor is fit for the job urging him to deliver and offer services to Kenyans. The governor also thanked ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga for prioritizing national dialogue as a solution to the challenges facing the country that led to protests.

He was speaking at Musoli in Ikolomani during the issuance of Social Protection grants to groups in the county. He said the county government will start engaging with youth through forums in all the sub counties to resolve their issues. “We shall have face to face dialogue with our Gen Zs to resolve their issues and understand their concerns,” the governor added.

He also noted that the county government administration will involve the youth in decision making and offer them opportunities for engagement.
