Governor Cracks the Whip in Push for Better Service Delivery

Bungoma County, Governor Kenneth Lusaka has reshuffled his cabinet with an aim of optimizing performance and fostering teamwork.  Addressing the press today, Lusaka spoke tough on the need for effective service.

He cited lack of cohesion within his team that had hindered progress despite previous efforts to build unity through meetings, workshops, and seminars. Lusaka noted that service delivery to the people of Bungoma remains at the top of his agenda.

The Governor declared that while progress had been made there was potential to do much better. He added that as a government they are almost halfway through their term and do not have the luxury of time or patience to keep people waiting for service delivery.

Lusaka expressed his determination to assemble a team that not only understands but also fully shares in his vision for the county development. The governor announced a reshuffle to ensure optimal performance, citing considerations of regional and gender balance as well as individual competencies.

Changes include the appointment of Engineer Agnes Wachiye as the new County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education, Dr. Monica Fedha as CECM for Trade, Mr. Benedict Emachar as CECM for Gender and Dr. Wamamili Wanyonyi as CECM for Public Service.

The governor further announced new appointments at the Chief Officer level, with Beatrice Nakhumicha taking over Youth and Sports, while Timothy Wanjala assumes the role of Chief Officer for Cooperatives. Lusaka assured the public that these moves are rooted in a steadfast commitment to uphold the law and deliver improved services to Bungoma’s residents.
