The Jubilee Life Insurance Company has launched its 4th annual art competition with a Sh3 million scholarship prize in Victoria primary school in Kisumu County. The competition, which has been held every year since its inception in 2017, aims to celebrate the companyās 8th anniversary with this yearās theme, Dream without Limits.
The competition is open to primary school pupils, with the goal of nurturing their talents, with the organizers hoping to receive 15,000 submissions from young artists in grades 1 through 4, while the top 10 winners will receive full high school scholarships.
Jubilee Life Insurance Chief Executive Officer Asman Mugambi expressed his confidence in the growing appreciation and enthusiasm for art in major quarters.Ā Ā Mugambi also emphasized that the annual art competition will have a significant impact on both the personal development of the young learners and the nation as a whole.
The Nyanza Regional Education Director, Lawrence Karantimi played a crucial role in organizing the event, ensuring its success and promoting the importance of art in the education system. Victoria Primary Schoolās head teacher, Edward Omala, expressed his excitement about the schoolās participation in the annual art competition.
He praised Jubilee Life Insurance for providing such a significant opportunity for pupils across Kenya. āWe initially sponsored high school education, but if the amount set aside for a particular winner remains, we now cover their university education,ā said Joy Ojienda, Manager in Marketing.
āLike those winners of 2017, we are now sponsoring their university education,ā she said. All the art submissions are to be sent to the Jubilee Insurance head office by September 20. The award ceremony will take place on November 15.
