Kakamega Governor, Fernandes Barasa, has said that his administration will resume the distribution of bursaries to underprivileged students despite financial constraints facing the County Government.

Addressing a congregation at Eshisiru Catholic Church, he outlined that the bursary distribution exercise will commence on Tuesday and continue up to Friday next week.

The Governor, however, expressed concerns over the financial operations of counties, attributing ongoing difficulties to delays in disbursement of funds from the National Government.

He revealed that Kakamega County, like many others, has not received funds from the equitable revenue kitty since April this year, impacting essential Services and Development projects.
