Kenyans in Ireland in unity on the repatriation of Ms Kandie’s remains for burial

The Kenyan Community in Ireland mourns the untimely passing of Brigid Jemosop Kandie.

 Eirekenya Integration Community, led by Mr Amos Njugi Wachira, mourned the death of Kandie and contributed 10,000 euros (ksh1,540,000.00)  to aid in repatriating Brigid’s remains to Kenya for burial

Mr. Wachira, accompanied by the Eirekenya committee, presented the funds to Brigid’s family in the presence of Her Excellency Kenyan Ambassador Ms Tabu Irina.

Wachira said her remains  are expected to arrive in Kenya on Friday morning.

 During the presentation, Mr. Wachira highlighted the significance of the diaspora community unity, supporting one another during challenging times, such as the financial burdens associated with body repatriation and funeral expenses.

” The support to the family is a relief  to the high cost of body repatriation and funeral expenses,” said Wachira..

Ambassador Irina echoed these sentiments, urging Kenyans in Ireland to register with the Kenyan Embassy, emphasizing the importance of community solidarity.

She expressed gratitude for the Eirekenya Integration Community’s compassionate response to support Brigid’s family during this difficult period.

Beyond this organized effort, numerous other Kenyans have also contributed towards Brigid Kandie’s funeral expenses through various platforms, reflecting the collective empathy and support within the community.

The deceased hails from Baringo County.
