Khwisero Member of Parliament (MP) Christopher Aseka has urged his constituents to apply for Uwezo fund loans to uplift their living standards. Aseka said the Khwisero fund management committee has already called for the 2024/2025 fiscal year loan applications.

“The Uwezo fund is meant to offer loans to the vulnerable group to empower our citizens economically,” he said. While speaking in his constituency over the weekend, he said the fund is meant for the youth, women and people with disabilities.

The kitty offers Wezesha loans to first-time borrowers of Sh50,000 and Endeleza loans for repeat borrowers between 150% and 200% of the initial loan. He asked the locals to get application forms from the Sub-County youth office, NG-CDF office or online www.uwezo.go.ke.
