KNH CEO under graft probe

Kenyatta National Hospital Chief Executive Officer Dr Evanson Njoroge Kamuri

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is investigating Kenyatta National Hospital Chief Executive Officer Dr Evanson Njoroge Kamuri over Sh 634.4 million.

The Commission in a statement indicated that Kamuri is under investigations into allegations of corruption and Economic Crimes involving Sh,634,465,000 at the hospital.

 “The commission is investigating that the suspect has engaged in abuse of office, conflict of interest, and irregular awarding of tenders worth Sh634.4 million to companies associated with him.

EACC Deputy CEO Abdi Mohammed  confirms that the investigative operation into the Kamuri’s premises and properties   was successful.

” Valuable evidentiary material will support the ongoing investigations. The suspect has recorded a statement at the EACC Integrity, and released,” said Abdi.
