Man arrested after 1.4M worth of bhang found in his Store

Police in Narok town have recovered suspected bhang weighing 28.4kg that is worth Sh1.4 million and arrested one suspect.Narok Central Sub-County Police Commander John Momanyi said that the police got intelligence information on the presence of a bhang store owned by a notorious drug peddler.

Momanyi said they have managed to arrest one suspect while the accomplice managed to escape adding that a manhunt on the runaway suspect was underway.

He further said that the suspect who escaped was on police radar as she has an existing police case, and she was out on bond. The Police Commander warned engaging in drugs that they would face the long arm of the law once caught.

In addition, Momanyi urged the Judiciary not to issue bonds to those arrested more than two times, because the suspect who managed to escape was released two weeks ago after she was arrested with five bags of bang.

He added that the runaway suspect paid a bond of Sh1 million to be out of custody, urging the court not to accept her request for bond if re-arrested.
