Members of County Assembly applaud CS Kindiki’s reappointment

Isiolo Members of County Assembly have lauded President William Ruto for re-appointing Prof. Kithure Kindiki to Interior Cabinet Secretary, which he has been serving for about two years. 

Reacting to the news of Kindiki’s re-appointment, the MCAs said that the CS has done commendable work in his short stint in the ministry resulting in reduction of cases of cattle rustling and banditry in Isiolo County and other pastoralist areas.

The deputy speaker in the Assembly Mr. David Lemantile who also represents Oldonyiro Ward expressed confidence in the President’s move and said it would restore confidence in how the country is governed.

Burat Ward Representative Mr. Nicholas Lorot called upon the President to move ahead and continue his work to develop the country and also consider appointing some youth from the GEN-Z group in the remaining cabinet slots as a way of giving them hope of taking part in rebuilding the nation and stop standoff following demos in the country.

The MCA for Ngaremara Ward Peter Losu said that Kindiki was one of the best performers in service delivery compared to the rest of the recent cabinet.

He said that the National Assembly should approve Prof. Kindiki so that he could continue with his good work in the security docket.
