MP want school alumni to donate books

Butere Member of Parliament (MP) Tindi Mwale has called on Alumni to donate books to their former schools as a sign of appreciation and giving back to the society.

The MP said supporting students with revision books will improve their academic excellence and performance in the end-year exams. “We are calling on Alumni, other stakeholders and even parents to support this noble idea to donate revision materials to our students,” he said.

The MP pointed out that he is mainly focused on spearheading quality education in the constituency and will partner with the Education Ministry to ensure that they develop skills that will be beneficial to them in the future.

He said through book donation, the students will improve on their studies and encouraged the learners to invest in a reading culture.

Mwale who was speaking at Mabole Boys Secondary School while touring the initiated NG-CDF projects in Butere Sub County called on well-wishers to join the initiative and support the reading culture among students in Kakamega County through book drive donations.
