At least four individuals sustained serious injuries in a collision between a truck and a Webuye Shuttle matatu at Kuywa Bridge, Matisi Area along Webuye-Malaba road. The cause of the accident remains unknown, as the injured were rushed to various hospitals for urgent medical attention.
According to Western Traffic Base commander Walter Cheboren, the vehicles collided head-on along the bustling Eldoret-Malaba Road, causing chaos and prompting immediate response efforts.
Despite the severity of the accident, fortunately, no fatalities were reported by the time this story was being published. However, the precise circumstances leading to the collision are under investigation by the police.
“We are currently at the scene trying our best to take the injured to hospitals and clear the road for motorists to use it. As we speak, we have not reported any deaths, and the injured are being attended to in different hospitals,” stated Commander Cheboren, providing updates on the situation approximately thirty minutes after the accident occurred.
