Launch
Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has launched project monitoring and tracking system that will give residents and other stakeholders’ real time information on the status of development projects.
This in a bid to enhance transparency, accountability and efficient service delivery in the county. Speaking during the official launch of the system outside his Wote office Tuesday, Mutula emphasized that the system will give real-time updates, progress tracking and performance evaluation metrics and revolutionize management and monitor projects in the county.
Consequently, he added that the system is a tool that will empower and provide timely project information besides giving feedback in ensuring the government delivers on the promises made and meet the expectations of the people.
“This system, which I proudly unveil today, represents a quantum leap in our efforts to enhance oversight, transparency and efficiency in project management across our beloved county,” said Mutula
The governor further said that the system will streamline project management processes and enhance decision making capabilities, besides providing real-time data access, enabling prompt intervention and allocation of resources, as well as ensuring effective delivery of results.
The governor noted that the system will strengthen the oversight capabilities and accountability mechanisms for Members of County Assembly (MCAs) in ensuring projects are executed in line with the aspirations of the people.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the system will give a platform to the citizens, diaspora and civil society organizations in participating in shaping the development agenda of the county.
Thus, the system opens new avenues for Makueni citizens, and civil society organizations to contribute and collaborate and make well informed decisions, he added.
The governor was accompanied by four county Executives including Elizabeth Muli (Education and ICT), Japheth Mang’oka (Devolution), Eng. John Kasyoki Kieti (Water) and Sabastian Kyoni (Infrastructure).
