Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka Kawaya has defended his decision to vote for the 2024 Finance Bill. Musyoka said the bill that has already been withdrawn would have catered for electricity and road maintenance projects in Mwala that had been budgeted for in the Finance Bill.

Musyoka who is also UDA’s OrganiSing Secretary added that he voted Yes because he had the interests of the people at heart and is focused on development and not selfish reasons as had been alleged. He lauded the Gen Z in their efforts in bringing sanity to the country and holding leaders and politicians accountable but expressed his disappointment with the Gen Z for rejecting the Finance Bill without giving it a chance.

“The Gen Z do not know what they have rejected as the Finance bill was to help create jobs for them and they were misinformed,” decried Musyoka.

Musyoka was speaking at St Augustine Mbiuni High School in Mwala where he had delivered a school bus and commissioned a Science Laboratory which will help increase their morale and improve the students’ performance.

He pointed out that he is focused on development as he disclosed how he has helped the people of Utithini in Mbiuni with an electricity project worth Sh7 million and plans to launch more projects that will help generate income for the people of Mwala and reduce poverty.
