Protests against Finance Bill paints major towns as four protestors were shot outside parliament

Thousands of the youth poured into the streets in major towns in the counties chanting slogans against Finance Bill 2024/2025.

In Nairobi, Mombasa and Eldoret witnessed running battles between the police and the youthful protestors after on Sunday they moved in churches to mobilise support for demonstrations.

In Nairobi, they gained entrance in the parliamentary building as the police retreated minutes after the MPs passed the finance bill.

 The protestors gained access into the assembly through Jomo Kenyatta Mausoleum, as they engaged the police in running battles in the Nairobi. Several vehicles were torched as the chaos generated as the MPs escaped to their Bunge Towers offices, through an underground tunnel to avoid the wrath of the irate protestors.

 In Eldoret, the youth blocked the major highway connecting Kenya with the neighbouring  countries and disrupted the business. And in Murang’a, hundreds of the youth poured into the streets shouting anti finance bill slogans as they ridiculed the parliamentarians over the passage of the finance bill.

They were addressed outside a building where the office of Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro is located within the town.
