State makes appointment

Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura

The Government has made appointments in the state corporations in efforts to improve services. Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura said the government has confirmed Eng Joseph Mungai Kamau to the position of Chief Executive Officer at Athi Water Works Development Agency after he acted for six months.

Kamau was appointed to act after the resignation of the former CEO Eng Thuita Mwangi upon severe differences with the former Water and Irrigation Principal Secretary Paul Rono.

Athi water is implementing multi billion water projects in the counties of Nairobi, Murang’a and Kajiado,

At KBC, Agnes Kalekye, a Chief Operating Officer at Radio Africa Group has been appointed to the position of Managing Director.

She also served as the Chairperson of the Media Owners Association
