Two people were killed and scores of others injured when hired goons descended into a village in Kitengela , Kajiado county last night and started slashing people with pangas.

Panic gripped Embakasi village at the outskirts of the town after more than twenty-five young men who were allegedly hired by a private developer arrived on motorbikes and unleash terror on the residents.

However, the attackers were repulsed by a group of KDF officers manning the controversial Sheep and goat land.

Immediately word went round that the area was under attack, residents mobilized themselves and managed to corner  some of the attackers killing one of them and injuring five others.

Some of them managed to disappear in the darkness leaving their motorbikes behind.
