Wa Iria’s wife charged over corruption

Jane Waigwa, wife of former Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria and another suspect David Maina been charged at a Milimani court in connection with corruption totaling to Sh351 million belonging to Murang’a county government.
This is a week after Waigwa’s husband Wa Iria was charged last week.
The two ppeared before  anticorruption   magistrate Victor Wakumile where they denied all accusations levelled against them.
The two had failed to appear in court last week when Wa Iria and two other individuals were charged for the offense and pleaded innocent and were released on a bond of Sh20 million or alternatively pay a cash bail of Sh10 million.
Justice Wakumile released the two on a bond of Sh5 million or alternatively pay a cash bail of Sh10 million and deposit their passports in court.
